Cindy Willard believes the power of relationships and the intentionality of capital will create a more equitable world, better aligning finance and opportunity. She has deep experience as a thought leader in impact investing, integrated capital, philanthropic strategy, and program development. As head of Capital Activation for Impact Charitable, she leads partnership and project design to create funds and move money into impact-first investing.
She is responsible for developing relationships, analyzing opportunities and investments, and leading communication efforts. She began her career at The Denver Post working at the nexus of journalism and community engagement. More recently, she has worked for family, community, and private foundations in a variety of leadership roles. She developed overall strategic frameworks, impact investing portfolios, and programs focused on systems change.
In her work, Cindy draws from her own community involvement having served on numerous boards and advisory councils including as a member of the Advisory Council for the Greenlight Fund Denver and board member for Vital Capital CDFI.
