Demetrius Washington has served on the Board of Directors for the National Black MBA Association® Dallas–Fort Worth Chapter since 2018 and has led the chapter as President since 2022, driving initiatives that expand economic mobility, corporate partnerships, and community impact.
Demetrius began his career in banking while earning his undergraduate degrees, starting in a retail branch before moving into corporate lockbox operations. His career trajectory took a pivotal turn when he joined a bank that launched its own fintech subsidiary—marking the beginning of a 20+ year career in banking, payments, and financial technology.
He holds a Sociology degree fromMarquette University, a Business Management degree from Ottawa University, and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. He has also earned certificates inCommercial Real Estate (Marquette University) and Diversity, Equity, andInclusion (Kapor Center).
Passionate about community service and economic equity, Demetrius has served on the ForbesBLK Local Advisory Councila nd the Financial Health Network’s Member Advisory Council.
