About

As a seasoned strategist, community builder, and project manager with deep roots in Texas, I bring over a decade of experience leading community-driven & community-shaped initiatives across nonprofit, government, and grassroots sectors. I am passionate about building equitable ecosystems that blend entrepreneurship, activism, and culture to support Black & working class communities.

I’ve had the privilege of working with over 150+ Black-led and Black-serving organizations across Texas, where I led the design and execution of capacity-building programs, community engagement strategies, and large-scale funding initiatives—including co-creating a $1.5M distribution plan for child-serving institutions along the Gulf Coast. As a senior consultant and project manager with the American Medical Association’s Center for Health Equity, I led national health equity campaigns that integrated strategic planning, stakeholder management, and high-impact communication, directly aligning with the program management and evaluation goals outlined in this role.

My experience spans managing complex project lifecycles, facilitating transformational workshops, and coordinating cross-sector partnerships—from working with Save the Children to local grassroots movements addressing gentrification. I’ve coached emerging leaders through accelerator-style programming via my own consulting firm, The Afrocentric Communiversity LLC, which focuses on empowering "Activistpreneurs" with anti-capitalist, abolitionist-centered business strategies.

As someone who thrives in agile environments and operationalizing values, I bring a mix of operational rigor and cultural humility. My strengths in stakeholder engagement, program execution, data-driven evaluation, and inclusive facilitation bring value to the Impact Ventures Programming Team.
