Reuben Lael Griffin is a dynamic artist andadvocate dedicated to building power through culture, education, and justice.With a strong background in education and nonprofit leadership, he’s mobilizedyoung professionals and community members, driven policy conversations, andhelped shape grassroots movements. He’s also a creative force—merging music andstorytelling to inspire action and amplify unheard voices. Whether on stage orin strategy meetings, Reuben leads with passion, purpose, and a deep love forhis community, holding leadership roles as President of the Dallas-Fort WorthUrban League Young Professionals, Chair of the Millennial Board for The BlackAcademy of Arts and Letters and other local boards and commission in themetroplex. The son of first african American Garland ISD Trustee Linda Griffin,Reuben was raised with a deep commitment to public service His single “StandUp” has become an anthem for modern-day activism.
